Changelog
What's new in each version. Switch Focus updates itself, so you get these automatically. Download the latest version
0.1.8
- Fixed: looking back at the monitor where the Switch Focus window sits brought the app underneath it to the front. Switch Focus now stays on top and gets focus.
0.1.7
- On Linux, the title bar and window buttons now follow your desktop theme, so Switch Focus looks like your other windows.
0.1.6
- Fixed: on Linux, Open Switch Focus in the tray, or launching the app again, didn't bring the window back after you minimized it.
0.1.5
- The .deb package now updates itself too. When an update is ready, click Restart to update and enter your password.
- Switch Focus checks for updates every 4 hours as well as at launch, since it can run in the tray for days.
- A Restart to update button appears at the top of the window once an update has downloaded.
0.1.4
- Windows 10 and 11, in beta, with an installer that updates itself. Your license works on Windows too.
- Minimizing sends Switch Focus to the tray, where it keeps tracking. The tray menu has Open Switch Focus and Exit.
- Only one copy runs at a time: launching it again brings back the one that's running.
- The window buttons are now your system's own, in the style and on the side your desktop uses.
- Downloads are 15 to 35 MB smaller.
- A clear message when a license key was refunded or revoked.
0.1.3
- A 14-day free trial on each computer, with no account needed.
- License keys: $19 once, for up to 3 computers, bought through Polar from Buy a license in the app.
- The window keeps the same size on every screen.
0.1.2
- The app icon now shows up in GNOME's app grid and dock.
0.1.1
- No changes for you: this release tested automatic updates.
0.1.0
- First release, for Linux with an X11 session, as an AppImage that updates itself and a .deb package.
- Setup walks you through it: find which screen is which, look at your camera, then at three dots on each monitor, then check each monitor is recognized.
- Look at a monitor and its top window gets keyboard focus, with the mouse back where you left it on that screen. Moving only your eyes works too.
- Pause and Recalibrate at any time.
